Aimee g's designs are for the fashion-forward woman who eschews typical mainstream trends. Fluid, sculptural shapes combined with prints and artful colors in eco-friendly fabrics are integral components of each new collection. The designer's own preference for more unrestrained styles is an intrinsic one. " I started sewing when I was 13 and I hated using patterns," she says, recalling her childhood in rural Indiana. "But once I figured out I could make my own designs, I was set free."

Aimee trained in fashion and costume design at Purdue University before moving to New York City, where she completed her degree in fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Her resume includes working for labels such as Christian Dior, Oscar de la Renta, DKNY Underwear, Victoria's Secret and Marc Jacobs, before Aimee finally launched her own line in 2004.

In addition to being spotted on celebrities such as the Dixie Chicks, Janet Jackson, Shirley Manson, Britney Spears and Helena Christensen, Aimee g designs have been featured in Women's Wear Daily, Brazilian Vogue, Italian Vogue, The New York Post, Oxygen, Vis-a-Vis, New York Metro, Time Out, Fashion Manuscript, Fader, as well as other print and web-based publications.

As a nature enthusiast, an avid runner, and a raw-foodist, Aimee soon began to incorporate more eco-friendly fabrics such as organic pima cotton, recycled polyester, and linen into her collections to better reflect her own personal ethos and lifestyle. Today the Aimee g line consists of 65% organic/sustainable materials and nearly 100% natural fibers. A New York-based designer and a proponent of building strong relationships with local vendors and manufacturers, Aimee has also taken efforts to ensure that her collections are produced locally in New York. "Women should never have to sacrifice substance for style," she says. This statement reflects not only the aesthetic, but also the spirit of the Aimee g line.
